Monday to Friday Program

  • 7:30 - 9:30 am: Arrival, coffee and tea, small group chat, newspapers
  • 9:30 - 10:00 am: Tabletop activities, one-to-ones, board games and word searches
  • 10:00 - 10:30 am: Morning discussion, current events, theme topics and trivia
  • 10:30 - 11:30 am: Choice of activites (i.es. board games, physical games, arts and crafts)
  • 11:30 - 12:30 pm: Exercise and indoor walking program
  • 12:30 pm: Lunch, followed by dessert, tea and coffee
  • 1:30 - 2:30 pm: Choice of afternoon activities: small and large group programs (i.e. baking, trivia)
  • 2:30 - 3:00 pm: Afternoon snack and social
  • 3:00 - 4:30 pm: Small or large group program (i.e. bingo, cards)
  • 4:30 - 6:30 pm: Individualized programs (i.e. word search, puzzles)

Saturday Program

  • 10:00 - 11:00 am:Arrival, table top activities, coffee/tea, chit chat
  • 11:00 - 11:45 am:Large group activity (i.e. bocce ball, Frisbee toss)
  • 11:45 - 12:30 pm:Exercise and indoor walking program
  • 12:30 - 1:30 pm:Lunch followed by dessert, tea/coffee
  • 1:30 - 2:30 pm: Group activity (i.e. castaway cards, bingo)
  • 2:30 - 3:00 pm: Afternoon snack
  • 3:00 - 4:00 pm: Small group programs/ individualized programs (i.e. painting, dominos)

Evening Extended Program

  • 3:30 – 4:30 pm: Large group program (i.e. cards, sing along, trivia)
  • 4:30 – 5:30 pm:Individualized programs (i.e. painting, IPad, mathematical equations)
  • 5:30 – 6:00 pm:Late afternoon snack
  • 6:00 – 6:30 pm:Exercise and indoor walking program
  • 6:30 – 7:15 pm:Dinner with dessert, tea/coffee
  • 7:15 – 8:00 pm:Evening group activity (i.e. baking, craft)
  • 8:00 – 8:30 pm:Evening snack
  • 8:30 – 9:00 pm:Individualized programs and one on one programming (i.e. reading, rummy)

Activities

Senior Life Enhancement Centres offer therapeutic programs designed to meet the primary needs of the individual client.

Activities are grouped into 5 primary categories: Physical  | Intellectual  | Emotional  | Social | Spiritual


 

Social Activities

  • Programs that promote interaction, conversations, verbal exchanges and a sense of belonging:

    Outings  |  Games  |  Special event  |  Team challenges  |  Discussion groups  |  Meals and snacks

  • Special Social Activities include:

    Theme Days (eg. Cultural Day, Carnival Day, Country and Western Day and more)  |  Holiday Celebrations: Halloween, Christmas, St. Patrick’s Day |  Entertainment including theatre, and musical entertainer |  Special Occasion Lunches such as Thanksgiving  |  Educational presentations

  • Outings provide for an opportunity for clients to interact socially in a community setting. Outings include:
